We are looking for a Head of Catalog & Release Management to lead the teams that ensure our music gets to our global audience accurately, efficiently, and on time. This is a critical leadership role where you'll shape the future of our music delivery and impact how creators soundtrack their stories worldwide
How you will make an impact
As Head of Catalog & Release Management at Epidemic Sound, you will lead the teams responsible for the core operational flow of our music—from intake and metadata management through timely and high-quality releases. You will oversee and guide the planning, coordination, and execution of both catalog maintenance and new release scheduling globally, ensuring our music is always delivered accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with team- and company-wide goals. This includes driving cross-functional collaboration, maintaining metadata and release compliance, and supporting innovation in tools and workflows. Your ability to lead people and streamline complex processes will be critical in shaping how we bring music to our global audience.
Your daily impact will include:
Defining and driving the long-term strategy for our music catalog and release development.
Leading operational policy and workflow implementation for timely and high-quality music releases and metadata integrity.
Innovating operational tools and data pipelines through collaboration with Product and Analytics teams.
Ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders like A&R, Commercial Music Partnerships, and Curation.
Acting as the primary point of contact for all catalog and release-related matters.
Facilitating risk assessment and quality assurance for our music pipeline.
Managing and leading the Catalog Management and Release Operations teams, including hiring, performance, and salary conversations.
Driving team OKRs and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
Who you are
Strong proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Deep knowledge of music metadata standards, DSP delivery practices, and catalog management processes.
Broad orientation in musical genres and solid music theory knowledge.
Experience working with metadata management systems, music delivery platforms, and scheduling tools.
Strong operational and project management skills, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional workflows.
High problem-solving skills – identifies and solves issues, seeks root causes, and implements practical and timely solutions.
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
