We are looking for a senior backend engineer to help us drive the foundational innovation of our soundtracking platform!

Job Summary

In the Soundtrack product area, we are on a mission to revolutionize the soundtracking experience for content creators by providing them a creative, interactive, and relevant product. As an engineer in our Dynamic Bass team, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the fundamental features of Epidemic Sound. Together with your team, you will focus on core user experiences such as saving, playlisting, downloading, and organizing content. You will also own and develop our Partner-API and contribute to our innovative AI voice technology, which allows users to create voiceovers for their videos.

To achieve this, we’re looking for an experienced engineer with a strong focus on backend development, software architecture, and building high-quality software systems to join our collaborative and dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely within the team and with other product teams, machine learning, analytics, user research, and experience design to develop and enhance core platform features.

• Act as an architect, taking ownership of complex technical projects, including planning, cross-team collaboration, and impact evaluation.

• Mentor and coach team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.

• Embrace agile development processes, including pair and mob programming, and share knowledge inside and outside the team, participate in hack weeks and demos.

Requirements:

• Solid backend-focused experience with Go (other languages such as Kotlin, Python, etc is meriting).

• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, automated testing, and relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Extensive knowledge of software architecture, API design, and development within a microservices architecture.

• Experience leading a team’s continuous work towards a common technical vision, as well as building scalable, reliable, and easy-to-maintain software.

• Great communication skills and a drive to collaborate closely with colleagues.

• A flexible mindset as a curious learner and big-picture tech thinker.
