This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned frontend expert to influence our user journey from onboarding to retention and exit. This position is perfect for an experienced, curious engineer who takes initiative, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about using data and experimentation to uncover actionable insights.
As a team, we value open collaboration, tackling complex technical challenges together, and sharing knowledge through pair and mob programming, as well as regular hack weeks. As a senior member, your insights will shape and influence the team's roadmap, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces uncertainty.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
Taking the lead on frontend architecture and development, with a focus on improving user engagement and retention.
Shaping our team's first backend service in Go, in collaboration with the team.
Mentoring other engineers, sharing your expertise in modern frontend development.
Driving the design and testing of small-scale UX improvements, leveraging data to iterate and refine solutions.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement retention strategies across the organization and a cohesive and seamless user experience.
Who You Are
5+ years of extensive experience in frontend development, with experience (or a willingness to learn) backend systems.
Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js/Node.js.
API-first mindset with a passion for scalable architecture and integrating complex systems.
Nice to have
Experience with subscription services or e-commerce frontend interfaces.
Knowledge of DevOps tools, such as Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and an experimentation mindset to refine UX through data-driven insights.
Experience building backend services (we use Go)
