The role
As an Artist Performance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the Music Commercial Partnerships team within the Music Distribution division. Your role will be to design and execute innovative, digital-first campaigns that fuel artist discovery and measurable growth.
Sitting at the intersection of culture, creativity, and data, this role is responsible for identifying viral opportunities, building holistic strategies, and optimizing campaigns in real time to maximize streams, views, and revenue. You will act as a project lead for company-wide viral moments, collaborating with PR, A&R, product, and creative teams to deliver rapid, impactful activations that position both artists and the catalog for long-term success. This role is vital for strengthening future strategies by surfacing actionable insights, benchmarks, and success stories.
Your key responsibilities include:
Plan, execute, and package digital-first campaigns to drive commercial impact across DSPs and social platforms.
Develop holistic strategies, including short-form content, viral activations, and paid media (e.g., Meta ads, TikTok campaigns), to maximize views, streams, and revenue.
Identify viral opportunities and lead quick-strike marketing initiatives to capitalize on real-time cultural moments.
Monitor campaign performance in real-time, making agile, data-driven optimizations to boost ROI and reach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with DSPs, creators, production companies, media partners, and blogs to expand campaign reach.
Requirements
5+ years in digital marketing, performance marketing, or artist/label marketing roles, ideally within music, entertainment, or consumer-facing digital industries.
Demonstrated success in building and executing campaigns that drove measurable growth (streams, views, revenue, or fandom).
Hands-on knowledge of running performance-driven paid campaigns (e.g., Meta Ads, TikTok, YouTube, DSP performance tools).
Strong understanding of the digital music ecosystem (DSPs, social platforms, creator economy) and how fans engage with artists online.
Ability to move quickly, pivot campaigns, and translate data from analytics/dashboards into actionable insights.
