The role
As a Creative Music Partner you’ll be the creative and strategic partner to own and grow major client accounts in your region. You lead client delivery from brief to final solution, ensuring that major clients — from brands and agencies to filmmakers and creators, receive creative, strategic, and measurable outcomes.
You combine deep knowledge of brand storytelling and strategic thinking with hands-on music curation craft. You act as a trusted advisor who understands client challenges, translates them into sonic and creative strategies, and brings those strategies to life through distinctive music and sound.
This role will be based in New York City (3 days per week in-office).
Responsibilities
Own Client Relationships: Manage major client accounts end-to-end, acting as a trusted advisor who understands their creative and business challenges and co-creates tailored solutions.
Lead Creative Delivery: Spearhead projects across music curation, custom composition, and sound supervision, ensuring the final product aligns perfectly with brand identity, creative intent and business objectives.
Drive Client Strategy & Curation: Lead client workshops and listening sessions, conceptualizing and building playlists and soundscapes that achieve strategic business objectives.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with our music, sales, and product teams, while translating your insights on music and culture trends into innovative strategies for our clients.
Strategic Audio / Sonic Branding: Provide creative and strategic input on sonic branding projects alongside the Sonic Branding Partner, contributing to the creation and implementation of distinctive audio identities.
Hands-On Execution: Take direct ownership of projects with a hands-on approach while maintaining excellence in delivery.
Team Contribution & Mentorship: Support onboarding and development of curators, sharing best practices, frameworks, and musical knowledge.
Innovation & Trend Insight: Monitor cultural shifts, music trends, and platform behaviors; turn insights into strategic direction for clients and the team.
Catalog & Artist Knowledge: Maintain deep fluency in the Epidemic catalog and artist ecosystem, contributing to catalog development discussions where relevant.
Requirements
You are a client-centric and influential partner who combines deep musical expertise with strong strategic brand development and storytelling skills to create sound and music experiences that strengthen narrative meaning, deepen emotional connection, and drive meaningful impact. You understand how culture moves, how audiences listen, and how music shapes perception across film, digital content, brands, and beyond. You use that insight to advise clients, shape creative direction, and unlock the full storytelling power of sound — bringing ideas to life in ways that are both creatively distinctive and commercially effective.
Experience:
10+ years in brand and/or storytelling strategy, music curation/supervision, or music-led creative consultancy.
Extensive experience in developing or steering brand and narrative strategy.
Extensive experience in curating or supervising music for visual media and storytelling-driven content.
Strong experience in leading client projects, workshops, and team collaboration.
Strong musical fluency across genres and cultural contexts.
Experience with film/TV, digital content, or branded environments is a plus.
Knowledge of music licensing and copyright is a plus.
This is a full-time, hybrid position, based in New York City. This position has a base compensation span of 120,000 - 150,000 USD yearly dependent upon experience.
