As an Engineering Manager of the Soundtracking Agents Team, you will play a crucial role in a team focused on next-generation generative AI experiences. You will be accountable for people, delivery, process, and cross-team technical leadership as we create conversational and context-aware discovery experiences that redefine how people interact with our library.

This is a pivotal role that directly drives one of our most critical product areas by architecting and evolving our core discovery experiences, combining the power of agentic AI, large language models, and traditional search algorithms. Your impact will be to grow, shape, and mentor the ML/AI and back - end engineers on your team while ensuring the technical systems you deliver are scalable, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated into our end-user experiences. You will manage dependencies and collaborate closely with product, data platform, MLOps, and design teams to achieve this.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Own the technical roadmap and strategy for AI-powered discovery experiences, including LLMs and agentic systems.

• Lead the full engineering and delivery lifecycle from prototyping to production for high-quality, scalable ML solutions.

• Drive the definition, implementation, and evangelization of best practices in ML engineering and system design in the team.

• Build and maintain team health through effective rituals, 1:1s, and fostering a high-ownership, collaborative culture.

• Manage cross-team dependencies and collaborate closely with product, data, MLOps, and design teams.

Requirements

• Deep ML engineering background with hands-on experience in LLM, NLP, information retrieval, or agentic AI systems.

• Proven experience deploying high-quality, production-grade ML systems at scale.

• Strong technical leadership in ML system design and architecture across the full machine learning lifecycle.

• Track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams.

• Demonstrated ability to set clear goals, manage performance, and grow engineers through coaching and feedback.
